I think that for all of us, there are definitely some "name brand" products that we will never stop using, go out of our way to find them (even if it means going to more than one store to locate it) and spending extra to have our favorite brand. They're is NOTHING wrong with that. Not at all...I've even posted some pictures of things I will not buy if they're made by anyone else (yes, even Velveeta Box dinners...my husband and daughter love it!). I've tried different dishwasher detergents and none will make my dishes sparkle like Cascade Platinum. Bounty, the proveribal Quicker Picker Upper, works every time and those pick a size sheet ones are the greatest idea since sliced bread! Oh and speaking of bread, the best store bought bagels are made by Thomas's. No debate to be had there...they just are. My Redken Frizz Dismiss is essential in the Florida humidity and my "It's a 10" leave in conditioner? Can't live without it. No one makes an Irish Cream creamer for my coffee like Bailey's and Schmitt-Sohne Liebfraumilch is my go to wine. So, I stick with what I know in a lot of instances.
When it comes to make-up, though, I was all over the place. You name it, I've tried it. All price points, all name brands. Trying to find THE product that worked for me and that I could love with as much devotion as I had to my dishwasher detergent. I deserve it, don't I? You do, too, don't you?
It's time to take that chance and step out of your comfort zone. Let me guess, you've been wearing the same Clinique, Estee Lauder or MAC color for the last few years and it is your signature, but do you really like that your signature look doesn't last past your mid-morning conference call or your 3rd class of the day? Don't you want to look polished and have your smile looking as great as it did earlier in the morning and the only thing you need to go is just touch up with some gloss? Where was simplicity like this when I had a toddler running around and just trying to get everything organized, diaper bags packed and successfully manage to get out of the house while still looking put together was more complicated than Luke Skywalker trying to blow up the Death Star?
I was skeptic at first...but I did my research, read the reviews, watched the videos online about LipSense and then I tried it and Sweet Georgia Brown (!) I feel in love with LipSense. The ever amazing love like back in 1984 when I was 12 and thought I was going to marry Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran kind of love. Slap you on the side of the head, I can't live without this stuff kind of goodness. Traditional lipsticks SO weren't my bag. I hated how they always felt stiff and waxy, and for the last 7 years I had been a devoted Rimmel Lip Liner user. I would just line and fill in my lips with my Rose Quartz color and it lasted a few hours, but never more than that. It would come off on my straw, my Yeti cup, my husband's cheek...it was annoying and I hated having to touch it up all the time or reapply if I was headed out somewhere or meeting someone. When my friend Britani introduced me to LipSense, I figured why not? I had a boat load of other unused cosmetics stockpiled in my bathroom, so what was one more? The thing is, with LipSense, there is a Money back guarantee and dollars to donuts, you're going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! One container of LipSense color is equal to 4 regular lipsticks and do they have a money guarantee after you've used them? Not likely! Think about it. What do you have to lose?
Honey, Take a chance...It was one of the best decisions I ever made. And let me tell you, feeling pretty is one of the best mood boosters there is!!! It makes up for me never getting to marry Simon after all. :) Sigh...
